As long as you have chosen a boiler with an adequate heating capacity, you should be able to heat your whole site. Our GF engineers will complete a site survey before purchase and advise.
A biomass boiler works best when it is regularly maintained. Maintenance includes cleaning and de-ashing, visual checks and annual boiler services. A full list of maintenance requirements will be given to the customer after purchasing a GF boiler.
A GF biomass boiler average life-span is 10-20 years with correct maintenance and upkeep.
Yes – biomass boilers can be both retrofitted to an existing system or installed as a new system.
Yes. A GF biomass boiler can be used for both hot water and heating.
New biomass boiler warranty lasts for three years.
The non-domestic RHI has now ended for new biomass boilers. However, there is an option to purchase second-hand boilers that are already accredited to the RHI and take over the remaining tariff. Take a look at our ‘Pre-owned biomass boilers’ page for more details.
Changing your biomass boiler but keeping your existing RHI tariff is now possible under new ‘Plant Replacement’ legislation.
