The requirement:
Moat House Farm, a well-established log supplier in Staffordshire, first connected with us at an exhibitor show in 2016. Over the past eight years, we have developed a strong working relationship with Anthony, the owner of Moat House Farm, assisting him in growing his biomass and log drying capabilities to meet the increasing demand from his customers.
Our initial collaboration began with the installation of a GlenFarrow biomass boiler and log dryer, eligible for the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). We provided comprehensive support, guiding Anthony through the RHI accreditation process to ensure a seamless experience. Six months later, the farm’s growing operations led to the addition of another biomass boiler and log dryer to enhance capacity. A couple of years ago, as demand continued to rise, Anthony began exploring options to further expand his biomass setup.
Our solution:
At the 2022 APF show, Anthony visited our stand while we were showcasing the newly developed GF auto-feed system for biomass boilers. After discussing the benefits, we supplied, installed and commissioned two auto-feed systems for Moat House Farm’s existing biomass boilers. These auto-feeds significantly reduce manual loading time and ensure consistent fuel supply, optimising heat output for maximum efficiency.
Fast forward to the 2024 APF show, Anthony approached us again, this time see king additional drying capacity to support his growing business. Our recommendation was the GlenFarrow recirculation kiln, a cutting-edge solution that provides advanced drying technology to transform green timber into ready-to-use logs within just 4-5 days. The re circulation kiln, with its impressive capacity of 32 IBC cages, was the perfect fit for Moat House Farm. It has enabled the farm to keep pace with the ever-growing demand for firewood, ensuring a reliable and consistent log supply for their customers.
