The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has announced that the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) will remain unchanged for Medium Scale Biomass Boilers commissioned in the next quarter. The RHI, administered by Ofgem, scheme provides payments to Biomass Boiler owners registered on the scheme and heating eligible heat uses, who burn wood and/or cereal crop straw, for a period of 20 years.
Commenting on the Government’s and Ofgem’s continued support of Biomass Adam Thompson, GlenFarrow’s Biomass Co-ordinator, said “This is great news for those wishing to install Biomass Boilers in the next quarter, and for the 20 year period after installation. Having completed 400 successful applications for the RHI scheme already this can only be added to as customers continue to realise the financial benefits of the GlenFarrow range of Biomass Boilers”.

The Boilers are in used in a range of environments including Milking Parlours, Glasshouses, Factories, District Heating Systems, Farmhouse heating and are ideal where waste wood and cereal crop straw is available as a fuel.
