RHI Medium Scale Biomass Boiler Rates Unchanged

Ofgem has confirmed, in their quarterly statement, that there will be no reduction in the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) payments for medium scale biomass  on 1st April.

In their December statement Ofgem indicated that the rates may have been due to change from 5.24p/kWh to 2.91p/kWh. The changes require parliamentary approval. The next official review date for RHI is 1st July 2017.

Commenting Paul Kitchen, Managing Director of GlenFarrow said “This is a welcome development and gives our customers some extra time to take advantage of the 5.24p rate. Customers who can move quickly can still benefit and reduce the time to recoup their investment on a medium sized biomass system.”
